Significantly higher rate of ovarian cancer was found in fluoridated communities [Takahashin 2001, known to Australian NHMRC and FSANZ] associated with the increased levels of gonadotropin, also seen due to Fluoride intoxication of cryolite workers [Tokar 1977]. Gonadotropin down-regulated Estrogen receptor-β so that the ratio of Estrogen receptor-a/ Estrogen receptor-β mRNA ratio is altered [Beyers 1997].
A high Estrogen receptor-a/ Estrogen receptor -β mRNA ratio is associated with increase ovarian cancer malignancy [Pujol 1998]. Fluoride and calcification by fluoride-doped Hydroxyapatite [Wu 2010] both increase osteopontin, know to increase ovarian cancer malignancy.
